When we look at your book through the lens of a line edit, what we’re really doing is designing the way your readers will experience your story, cultivating a sense of connection and transformation. By refining your voice and style, your writing becomes more distinctive and memorable, giving you a sense of confidence and identity as you see your unique perspective and personality reflected in your words.

 

Line editing delves into the story at the sentence level, deepening point of view, improving the pace and tone of each scene, smoothing sentence patterns for flow, ensuring balance between dialogue and narrative, and strengthening writing technique.

I apply queries and changes directly to the text (changes tracked). Many typos and errors may be fixed during this process, but grammar and punctuation are not the focus and a copyedit or proofread will still be needed. Minor development problems will be pointed out, but story development isn't the main focus either.
